Based on a real-life story, the movie "Escape from Pretoria" is a suspense and action-packed drama filled with thrills to wow the audience.
It's about a plot of escape from prison by three young politicians held captive in jail back in the year 1979. It is starring with star actors Daniel Radcliffe [famous in the Harry Potter movie], Daniel Webber, Ian Hart, Mark Leonard Winter, Nathan Page, Grant Piro, and Adam Ovidia.
The movie was inspired based on a book by one of the escapees [Tim Jenkin] called "Inside Out," and it was written by British directors Francis Annan, L.H Adams, and produced by David Barron, Mark Blaney, Garry Hamilton, Michelle Krumm, and Jackie Sheppard.
In the late 1970s, during the apartheid era, Tim Jenkin, who was a real-life ANC activist, was tagged as a dangerous terrorist and jailed in Africa's maximum-security prison in Pretoria. He was detained along with his two fellow freedom fighters[Daniel Webber and Mark Leonard Winter].
Tim Jenkin devised a bold and challenging move to plan an escape from his confinement in prison by making hand-made wooden keys. This legendary escape attempt happened 40 years ago on the 11th of December 1979. The movie takes us back to see what happened years ago and how Tim Jenkin was able to succeed in his attempt to escape.
One of the producers, Garry Hamilton, revealed that the movie [Escape from Pretoria] is a promoted and exciting thriller that will last long to stand the test of time. The movie was filmed in Adelaide, in the South of Australia early last year (2019) with locations in the city and suburbs.
