Malang is a Bollywood romantic and action-packed thriller movie of 2020. This movie is directed by Mohit Suri. The producers of Malang are Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Ankur Garg, Luv Ranjan, and Jay Shewakramani.
Malang was in the reports on 4th March 2019. The production of the movie began on 22nd March 2019 and finished on 7th October 2019. The movie was released on 6th February 2020.

Aditya Roy Kapur (Advait Thakur) who was released recently after spending five years in jail. Anil Kapoor (Inspector Anjaney Agashe) is a jagged drug-addict policeman who gets free of identified criminals by murdering them and making the scene look like it is an encounter. After the release, Aditya (Advait) immediately contacts Anil (Inspector Agashe) and warns him of an upcoming assassination.
Kunal Khemu (Michael Rodrigues) is a policeman who lives his life by the rules although his personal life is coming apart, as his wife, Amruta Khanvilkar (Teresa) is having an extra maternal affair with someone else. He gets to know that his co-worker, Vatsal Sheth (Victor), has been brutally killed. At the site of the crime, Kunal (Michael) meets Inspector Agashe and both of them are odds with each other: Inspector Agashe wants to encounter the murderer, while Michael Rodrigues wants the murderer behind the bars. It is hinted that Aditya (Advait) has committed the crime, and gradually, his relation to both Michael and Agashe is uncovered.
Five years ago, Aditya (Advait), was a very happy and cheerful guy who meets Disha Patani (Sara Nambiar) at an illegal rave party which was held in Goa. Both of them fell in love with each other and decided to party and travel together as nomads. Later in the journey, Sara gets to know that she is pregnant with Advait as the father. They both discussed and decided to abort the child. At another illegal party event, Disha (Sara) sees a teenage girl named Devika Vatsa (Vani) having a conversation on the phone with her father, who is Anil (Inspector Agashe). Inspector Agashe then raids the same rave party to catch the drug dealers there. Crossfire begins and Devika (Vani) gets a bullet that was shot by her father, taking in her last breathe in her father’s arms.
Disha (Sara) observes this, watching inspector Agashe have a break down for the loss of his daughter. This distresses her and she decides not to have an abortion. Daughter’s death leads inspector Agashe to drug addiction. Disha (Sara) tells Aditya (Advait) of her choice of not have an abortion and that she wants to live a normal life. Advait leaves Sara as he has a fear of commitment.

Meanwhile, in the present time, Aditya (Advait) kills two more policemen, Keith Sequeira (Nitin) and Prasad Jawde (Deven). Kunal (Michael) becomes doubtful of Elli AvrRam (Jessie), a drug-addicted and nomadic prostitute who is Aditya’s (Advait) friend and has her hands in all the murders. Elli (Jessie) attempts to burn down the proofs at her home but Kunal (Michael) enters and notices that he is also one of the people on Aditya’s (Advait) hit list. During this time Aditya (Advait) surrenders himself to Anil (Inspector Agashe).
After that, the back story of Aditya (Advait), Disha (Sara), and Kunal (Michael) is revealed: Kunal (Michael) grew up in a very family. Before his marriage with Amruta (Teresa), he was feeling very uncomfortable with intimacy and all that stuff and gets scared when she touches him. This makes Michael feel like he is not a man and goes to Elli (Jessie) to lose his virginity. Disha (Sara) has been living there with Elli (Jessie) after Aditya (Advait) had left her alone. Kunal (Michael) enters the room, misunderstands Disha (Sara) as Jessie and tries to rape her. Meanwhile, Aditya (Advait) comes back to Goa after realizing his mistake. He arrives at the place and finds Disha (Sara) in trouble.
Aditya (Advait) gets involved in a fight with Kunal (Michael) and contacts the cops. Kunal’s fellow policemen, Deven (Prasad), Victor (Vatsal), and (Keith) Nitin arrive at the scene. The policemen put Aditya (Advait) and Disha (Sara) inside the police van. Instead of taking them to the police station, they take them to a bridge where Kunal (Michael) and his friends create a scene of drug peddling and hide the dark truth of Kunal (Michael). Kunal (Michael) injects a toxic drug into both of them and throws Disha (Sara) off the bridge into the river, and Advait’s name comes in front as off he was the killer and is sentenced to spend 5 years in prison. Aditya (Advait) kills all these men as an act of revenge for Sara’s death.
In the police station, Kunal (Michael) tells Aditya (Advait) that he murdered Jessie. Michael then leaves the station so that inspector Agashe can encounter Advait. Before leaving the station, Kunal (Michael) tells something to inspector Agashe that makes him understand that he is the sole reason Advait’s retaliation. Then inspector Agashe takes Aditya (Advait) to the same old bridge, there Aditya (Advait) says Agashe that Kunal (Michael) and his coworkers murdered Disha (Sara). Kunal (Michael) arrives at his house and observes that Amruta (Teresa) is leaving the house. Kunal (Michael) becomes angry and tries to kill Teresa. As Michael was choking Teresa, he is injected with a drug on his neck, he sees Sara when he turns around.
Disha (Sara) was saved by Elli (Jessie) and in the period of 5 years, Advait and Sara had been preparing for the revenge together. All the crimes were done by Advait and Sara. Inspector Agashe gets shocked when Michael was murdered and Advait was right in front of him. Agashe sets Advait free as there was no evidence found and Sara and Advait continue to live their lives peacefully.
The movie comes to an end when inspector Agashe gets a call from Shraddha Kapoor who is an unknown caller, telling him about an impending murder like he was informed in the beginning by Advait.
