What We Think About the Movie: Skyscraper
Like we mentioned at the start of this article, most reviewers think that the movie: Skyscraper is just an average. Well, we think so too. The movie does not successfully showcase Johnson's charm as he brings some levity to the film. It is not like Hercules which he gave an unforgettable performance. The movie has a lot of imitation to a similar action movie - Die Hard.
The action set pieces in the movie never truly capitalize on the potential of Skyscraper's unique setting. Perhaps, the reason why most people think Skyscraper is just an average movie is because it focuses on the tried-and-true them of the genre - a hero risking his life to save his family. However, the characters weren't developed as one should have expected.
However, you can still enjoy the movie. There are a lot of actions scenes, surprises, betrayals, and moments of gasp breaths.
Skyscraper will start playing in theaters across the United States on Thursday, July 12. The movie runs for 103 minutes and you can watch it with your family as it has a PG-13 rating.
