Summary: A diverse team of Nazi hunters residing in New York City in 1977 finds out that some Nazi war criminals are planning a Fourth Reich in the U.S.A. There is a second storyline that follows the discovery of an Operation Paperclip by the U.S. government to relocate German scientists into the country. The unfolding of this story is nothing short of epic.
What’s the story?
Hunters are one of the newest Amazon Prime TV series that will impress you more than you would ever imagine. And there’s a reason for that. Right from the start Hunters is all about the idea of exploring options, figuring out how to complete things and push them to the next level. At its core, the concept for this series is insane, and they come with a really good cast too.
In the Hunters TV series world, the society is different. Nazis still exist and people are not happy about that. But not everyone has something to do or say, they just stay there and try to keep things cool without knowing what to expect. The main focus in Hunters is that a team of experts in munitions, military and other fields are trying to work together in order to bring in the Nazis down.
There’s a new, young man that wants to be recruited in the team, and he learns a lot about the nazi hunter team and the numerous challenges that they are handling at this time. What a lot of people will love about Hunters is the fact that the band of hunters is very diverse. The story takes place in 1975, so you have people from all walks of life trying to make a living and just enjoy their life the best way that they can. It’s a unique process and one that ends up bringing in all sorts of different challenges.
Is it any good?
Since the action takes place in New York, it really manages to scratch the itch in regards to the place, timeline and all the other cool things happening in this situation. It really goes to show the commitment that people had to this and the tricky moments being brought to the table in such a clever and distinctive manner.
In the series, hundreds of high ranking Nazi officials are trying to create the 4th Reich in the US. During the 70s the USA is a peaceful country with lots of opportunities. So it’s easy to see why a lot of people would be against this type of situation. But that’s the cool thing and what makes Hunters special, it’s the fact that it constantly pushes the boundaries coming up with new ideas and content that you do not want to miss. It’s a very creative show because it focuses on a team of killers, but at the same time it tries to showcase life during that time. It certainly makes a lot of sense to show an alternate future like this, and the ideas are pretty cool too.
The Hunters series is mostly focused on the idea that if someone wants to take over the world or they think they can do everything, you need to react. And they do a very good job at showing what will happen if we don’t take control over the situation and the nazis are trying to regroup and take control. It really is a very different experience with a great vibe and some cool ideas. It constantly pushes the boundaries to bring in something new and different all the time.
There are 10 episodes in the series. While we don’t know their structure yet, we do expect a villain of the week vibe with some rather creative ideas and options embedded in there. It just goes to show that as long as you are creative and truly focused on generating immense value, the experience will be nothing short of extraordinary every time. The commitment that these people have and the true focus on value is what really makes it tick and well worth the effort.
In Hunters you will see Al Pacino, Kate Mulvany, Logan Lerman, Carol Kane and many others. They worked really hard to bring a cast of different ages, races and experience. Which is great because it shows the amount of value you can obtain from the actors while also making the story more nuanced and different. They really worked hard to bring in front a creative and fun idea while also pushing the boundaries and really making it tick all the time. That’s what you want to have with this, a true focus on nice experiences and fun moments that you do not want to miss.
Plus, the way they chose to spread the cast and focus on their experience is very exciting. It’s definitely something that people love and it’s unique enough to not rush you as well. The idea of constantly pushing the boundaries and using a creative way to do that is definitely what you will like the most. And it’s clear that the cast is having a lot of fun.
In fact, the story itself is wild and rather fun too, so Jordan Peele who produced this came up with a wild idea and just ran with it. This is different, it’s certainly a lot of fun, and at the end of the day you will like it more than you imagine. That’s what you want to pursue the most, and if you do it right, nothing will be impossible.
Conclusion
What a lot of people want when it comes to streaming series is something different and certainly a lot of fun. Hunters manages to scratch the itch and it definitely delivers most of those ideas in a great setting. There are some interesting choices and options, and they constantly trying to push the boundaries with some clever ideas.
Having a team that kills nazis to prevent a new world domination is brilliant and the series itself is one of the best out there. You can watch Hunters starting with the 21st of February on Amazon Video and it’s certainly going to be a treat. The actors are great, the story itself is very funny and different, and it’s just a really good concept to begin with. Most people want something new and unique, and in this case it’s extremely interesting and exciting!
