What’s the story?

If you are a fan of Mission Impossible, you are yet to see the best of this movie. In 2015, most people thought they have seen the best of Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation which made over $195 million in the domestic box office and has a Metascore of 75. However, with what we have seen so far, the new Mission Impossible which is star-studded promises to be the best thing you will see on Big Screen this year.

If you are here to find out if Mission Impossible: Fallout is worth your time, I have 3 words for you: Go for it! When this movie finally hit the theaters on July 27, it is going to be the best movie or at least one of the best action movies you will ever see in 2018. Once again, the cast and crew of Mission Impossible didn’t disappoint (I didn’t expect to disappoint). From what we have seen so far, you will stay glued to the screen with an unending thrilling action from the start to the end of this movie.

Mission Impossible - Fallout

Well, expect to see Tom Cruise back in action as the leader of the Impossible Missions Force. The movie is written and directed by Christopher McQuarrie. It is important to mention at this point that it is the same Christopher that directed Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation.

Mission Impossible: Fallout is a great example of the best intentions that often come back to haunt you. From what we gathered so far, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his team were sent on an important mission. Unfortunately, the mission went wrong and they have to pay for it. In this movie, you will see Ethan and his team (Simon Pegg, Alec Baldwin, and Ving Rhames) in a race against time to save everyone. However, this seems like a futile effort as both the bad guys and the government are against them. Everybody seems bent on taking Ethan and his team out. Will they survive? Only time will tell.

Is it any good?

A lot has happened since Paramount Pictures announced that the Mission Impossible: Fallout will hit cinemas on July 27. Sometime last month, June 3 to be précise, Tom Cruise gave us a sneak peek into one of the more adrenaline-pumping stunts which will be featured in the movie. The Mission Impossible star shared “HALO-jump (High Altitude, Low Open)” on his Twitter page. It might shock you to learn that Tom Cruise is the very first actor to ever perform such a stunt on camera.

The clip is a short one but enough to show the amazing work the actor and crew put into making the movie a great one. The clip showed an explanation of the maneuver, as well as the rehearsals the actor went through in order to get himself ready for this dangerous feat. His helmet was custom-made in order to make this feat possible. According to the director, “no one thought it would take more than 100 jumps to get the scene”.

Mission Impossible – Fallout

In this same short clip, you will see Tom Cruise performs his jump from a plane hovering at a height of 25,000 feet. This is nothing short of bravery. While on his way down, he opened his chute once he was less than 2,000 feet above the group. The crew explained that getting the scene perfect was incredibly hard as the lighting was the key which means they have an only 3-minute window each day to try it out.

Towards the end of the clip, Tom Cruise said he can’t wait for the audience to see this movie. Well, Tom, we can’t wait to. We are anxious to see Mission Impossible: Fallout.

Paramount Pictures also released another fascinating peek into the behind-the-scenes of the movie. In the short clip, you will see Tom Cruise learning how to fly a helicopter. This was very necessary in order to shot one of the movie’s key sequences. The commitment to realism of Tom Cruise in the stunt scenes for the Mission Impossible: Fallout was amazing. Of course, for Tom, this has been a long-standing tradition as we saw in previous Mission Impossible Movies.

Mission Impossible is currently ranked 20th-highest-grossing franchise of all time worldwide. The first Mission Impossible was made back in 1996. This first movie earned more than $180 million in the theaters in the United States only and more than $457 million worldwide. This is a very hefty amount for that decade.

Since then, 5 sequels of Mission Impossible have been made and collectively grossed more than $2.7 billion. The last sequel of Mission Impossible before this one made $682.7 million worldwide. Of course, it is expected that Mission Impossible: Fallout will once again break the record. Just make sure you don’t miss it when it hit the cinemas on July 27.
