What’s the story?
Spider-Man: Far From Home finalizes phase 3 of Marvel’s universe and the interesting thing about it is that the movie is focused on wrapping things up with the introduction of some new ideas too. This takes place right after Avengers Endgame and it shows us the fallout that Spiderman has to deal with now that Tony Stark, his mentor, is no more.
The cool thing about this movie is that it still retains a funny tone, since we go all over Europe in a trip. He still focuses on exploring the fallout that came after Tony’s death, while still not having a movie that’s super dark. In fact, Spider-Man: Far From Home is quite the opposite from that.
The Spider-Man: Far From Home movie is all about an European trip, so Spiderman is now focused on exploring the world with his friends. The problem is that, as always, things tend to get bad, and this time Nick Fury is in the mix and he has a special assignment for Peter.
He has to work with Mysterio in order to eliminate some elementals that are destroying cities all over the world. In the comics Mysterio has always been a very deceiving enemy, and he did use elementals, so it’s interesting to see if he is behind all of this or not. But what we do know is that Spider-Man: Far From Home is bringing in a fresh perspective on many ideas, so this might very well be a new take, no one really knows. What we do know and also expect from the movie is to come up with some great ideas when it comes to the story after Endgame and to focus on bringing in a few set of things into this universe.
Is it any good?
The latest Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer brought in the idea of having a multiverse. This is actually quite an interesting idea because it brings in a refreshing set of options for the Marvel universe. We can see new versions of the old heroes, but we can also expect some new villains from other dimensions. Sure, this is only speculation at this point, but it goes to show just how creative the Marvel universe can be once Spider-Man: Far From Home hits the screen.
As for the movie itself, we can expect a lot of action and a ton of cool jokes. Peter Parker has always been the epitome of fun and jokes in the Marvel movies he was a part of. We can expect this to be pretty much the same.
Spider-Man: Far From Home has some rave reviews from those that saw rough cuts and the addition of Jake Gyllenhaal into the mix is a great one. We do expect Spider-Man: Far From Home to break lots of records, and it might also open up a great array of new possibilities for people that want to enjoy the movie and just have fun with it.
