In November 2018, it was the first time when Disney has announced the plans for a Loki TV show. Now in 2021, Marvel had released the very first complete trailer of Loki in April.
The main star cast includes Owen Wilson, Sophia Di Martino, Tom Hiddleston, Sasha Lane, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw. Loki uses the Tesseract for time travel and changes the history of humans.
As many among us who are Avengers fans already know Loki is a Trickster God! He is also a reluctant brother of Thor. Hiddleston played the role in many franchise movies like Avengers: Infinity War, ‘The Avengers’ and all the three films of ‘Thor’.
Makers of this 2021 TV series was impressed by the performance of Rick and Morty, an adventure comedy released back in 2013. Hence, Michael Waldron was given the main character of Loki! It is written by Michael Waldron and will premiere on 9 June. This TV show includes Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Adventure, and Action. The director of this series is Kate Herron
The complete Loki 2021 series will be divided into six episodes and each of which is about 45-55 minutes. The successive episodes will release on every Wednesday. Disney is stating that it is a crime thriller.
Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson have already worked together in the 2011 film ‘Midnight in Paris’ involving time travel. The main highlights of this series are Variant Jacket and time travel.
The hint of this series was already found in “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier”, and “WandaVision”. These two MCU TVverse shows were already premiered in early 2021 on Disney+.
In May 2020, Clark Gregg from the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D was released back in 2013. He has reported ScreenRant that the Loki TV series of the Disney+ will be having a second season.
What’s the Story?
The whole life of Loki is based on a detailed plotline mentioning his timeline with accuracy and precision. It might be possible that the story will be having some chunks inspired by storylines of the comics based on the central character of this show. One among them is ‘Vote Loki’
We will come to know about Loki especially what happened to him after his escape including Tesseract as shown in Avengers: Endgame. We can’t say exactly how writers have portrayed the events and the characters since time travel can confuse anybody.
If we look into the details then the Loki that we will be going to see in the new series on Disney+ is not a resurrected version. After all, the Thanos had already killed him. So this version of Loki is from the earlier Timeline.
After escaping the captivity Loki was caught by TVA, a firm known as Time Variance Authority, as per the Marvel Comics. At this time, Loki is shown more antagonists as compared to the later versions of the character. The firm monitors different timelines shown in the comics.

The series is one among the Marvel projects that are based on multiverse themes. The story has the link to the upcoming Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness that will be supposed to be released in 2022.
You can see many events are taken from Avengers: Endgame (2019). As we have seen in the New York battle of ‘The Avengers (2012)’ the Loki was captured. Later, to take every Infinity Stones, Loki escaped with the Space Stone in the Avenger’s time-travel heist.
So a new timeline is created as per which Loki was not in Asgard’s imprisonment. Also, he didn’t need to face other events like 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War, 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok, and 2013’s Thor: The Dark World.
There might be the possibility that Black Widow will also be seen as a special appearance in this series. From the words of Stephen Broussard, Executive Producer, Other than the time travel, the series also has ‘quality of man-on-the-run’. The new Loki 2021 series will represent part 4 of the MCU. Most probably we will be going to watch the same character who was got humiliated in the New York battle.
From the words of Tom Hiddleston, the audiences will sure come to know the answers to many questions formed in Avengers: Endgame. It includes what is the use of cube for Loki?, and Whether Loki is actually no more in reality?
Tom Hiddleston had explained the complete Cinematic Universe of Marvel to Owen Wilson to understand the role of Agent Mobius. Owen didn’t need to go through the Marvel comics for the same. Hiddleston also told MTV that the central character will face more formidable opponents that he didn’t even see before.
The coming Loki series will unveil many rumors. For eg, whether Heimdall will be seen again and how Thor will be going to reach after watching his antagonist sibling again.
